A modern classic in switch design, admired by architects since 1967 for its restrained, clean lines. This minimalist LED dimmer in cream features a subtle semi-gloss finish, which is as beautiful as it’s durable.
The standard dimmers are “Trailing Edge” (R/C LED) and available in maximum load ratings of 200W or 350W. They are 2-way units that can have a 2-way switch on the same circuit/light.
If you require real 2-way dimming (ie to dim a light from 2 places), please choose the Master/Auxiliary set option. You can add up to 10 auxiliary dimmers to a Master unit.
The 1-10V version is used for controlling lamps with separate power supplies/drivers, which explicitly require 1-10V dimming. A 1-10V dimmer will not work with standard mains-powered light bulbs.

What’s in the box?
You will receive a modular rocker switch set, consisting of a switch insert, a rocker cover (or a set of them if you have chosen a 2-gang or 3-gang switch) and a 1-gang frame. (Set includes a bracket to connect frame and insert)

Installation
Jung LS switches and sockets are straightforward to install into standard British back boxes. All frame designs have the same rocker/plate size and inserts. Just follow the step-by-step pictures below or go to our Jung switch installation page.

Dimensions
Does this cover a standard british back box?
This product covers a standard metal knockout box, but it doesn't cover the edges of plastic "dry-lining" boxes. If you can't fit a metal flush box, we recommend using "flat plate" drywall boxes or European round boxes. 
How deep does the back box need to be?
This needs a slightly deeper box, at least 35mm.

The concept
What makes the LS990 so appealing is the fact that it is one of the few ranges where the material and finish are unified across the entire piece. So, a brass-covered frame supports a brass-covered rocker. This adds a sleek coherence to the switch, and is one reason the LS990 has become a classic and much-loved design. Its restrained, geometric lines give it a minimalist form, whilst the clearly defined narrow frame contrasts beautifully with the unusually wide rocker.
And it’s not just pleasing to the eye. The boxy rocker is designed for ease of use and responds to just the gentlest touch, with a reassuringly soft click.

The history
Created by Jung in 1967, the LS990 switch range was inspired by the Bauhaus design philosophy of the 1920s. Drawing on the principle of the unity of practicality and aesthetics,  the LS990 incorporated geometric form with simple elegance. It became an instant classic, enhancing the ambience of many iconic buildings, and is still loved by architects, interior designers and homeowners alike.
The LS990Â has been in production for 48 years and is still one of the most recognisable switches you will find.
