Classic, timeless modernism in a striking material, expressing both industry and elegance. The slightly raised profile and well-proportioned modernist shape of Gira’s Esprit range, finished in a dark, brushed brown Aluminium, reminiscent of aged bronze.

The dimmer units, made by ION in the Netherlands, are “Trailing Edge” LED dimmers. They are available in load ratings of 200W or 350W for the single unit, and 2 x 200W for the double (all ratings in LED).

If you require a different dimmer version, such as a 1-10V controller or “satellite” dimmers, please get in touch.

What’s in the box?

You will receive a modular rocker switch set, consisting of a switch insert, a rocker cover (or a set of them if you have chosen a 2-gang or 3-gang switch) and a 1-gang frame. (Set includes a bracket to connect frame and insert)

A 1-gang 2-way dimmer is commonly used for controlling a single light source from one or two places.

 

Installation

Because of the modular nature of European wiring accessories, installation is slightly different to fitting the encapsulated (moulded) switches and sockets common in the UK. Have a look at the step-by-step pictures below, or consult the more detailed Gira rocker switch installation instructions.

Yes, this product covers standard square knockout and drywall boxes comfortably.

How deep does the back box need to be?
This insert is quite deep, it needs at least 40mm. Check the available options below.
